What to Expect from a Full-service Agent

What can you expect from your agent? Plenty! (Or at least you should.)

No doubt about it. Buying or selling a home is right at the top of the list of major (and exciting) life changes. It's also one of the most important financial transactions of your life. From making initial buying or selling decisions to closing (and everything in between), you should definitely know how an agent will turn your dream into a reality.

That's where full-service agents come in. You don't want to trust one of the most important decisions of your lifetime to an agent who's more focused on cutting corners than on making sure needs are being met – and exceeded.

Here's a list of what you should expect from a full-service agent. This is just a general list – you should review it and determine what other important needs you have. Make sure that your prospective agent is willing to provide you with the full suite of services you deserve.

Why do you need a Realtor®?

Many times you hear people say, “What does a Realtor® do for me that I can’t do for myself?” My answer is that a Realtor® can save you time, money and costly mistakes. My daily routine involves several areas of expertise that most homeowners are not prepared or willing to handle.

Pricing is the first area that will impact your home sale. I have access to the recent real estate activity, seasonal trends and other areas that will affect home price. I am also available to answer questions about mortgage qualifying and financing that many home shoppers have.

Spending a lot of time with potential buyers who may not qualify to buy can be extremely frustrating, plus that diverts attention away from qualified buyers. I pre-qualify prospective buyers first, so you know that the people who look at your home are in a financial position to buy the home.

Give me a call, I will be happy to give you more reasons why working with a professional Realtor® is a valuable decision for you to make.

Open House Quick Tips

Here are some quick tips when holding your open house:

Holding an open house can be nerve-wracking. Are people going to like the way you’ve decorated? Is there too much clutter throughout? Is your home clean enough?
Getting ready to show your home is an important, yet time-consuming task. Need some help? Here are a few tips when holding your open house:

• Discuss all the open house details with your qualified, professional real estate agent. He or she can help you hold a captivating house showing.
• Go through your home with your agent the day before the open house and listen closely to the agent’s suggestions and directions.
• Make plans so your agent is the one showing the home. You want your visitors to feel comfortable making comments, or even criticizing your home. If you absolutely must stay in the home, be sure to keep a low profile.
